Anusara Yoga® Immersion with Chad Satlow, 2010:

The 108 hour three-part Anusara Yoga¨ Immersion takes you on a journey into the study of Anusara Yoga (Asana, Philosophy, Pranayama, Meditation).

You will meet friends who share in the desire to live from the heart. Develop lifelong friendships and explore and participate in the Anusara kula (community). The Immersion is perfect for those wishing to delve into the mysteries and profound practices of yoga. The Immersion teaches us how to imbibe the practice as a path to conscious living, have the experience of our truest self, and journey to the core of Anusara Yoga.

Schedule:
Level One, Two and Three Immersion:
Level One: June 16-20
Level Two: August 11-15
Level Three: October 13-17

Wednesdays: 2-6pm
Thursdays: 9am-6pm
Fridays: 9am-9pm
Saturdays: 10:15 am-7:15 pm
Sundays: 10:45 am-2:45 pm
In this comprehensive training you will complete 108 hours.

Fees: $1850 if you pre-register & sign up for all 3, pre-paid by June 1, otherwise $650 for each Level.

Immersion Level One: Intention and Studentship: Stepping Into the Flow of Grace June 16-20

Establish a solid foundation in the principals of Anusara Yoga, and make a deep connection to its rich philosophy. Universal Principals of Alignment, study and practice of asana fundamentals, Tantric Philosophy & the history of yoga. Study of the focal points, loops and spirals.

Immersion Level Two: Empowerment and Community: The Heart of Anusara Yoga August 12-15

Deeper understanding of philosophy and energy in the body and studies into yogic texts. Overview of the 36 tattva, the five elements, Studies into the breath, pranayama and meditation, Kundalini, prana, chakras, and the energy body. Study of the Yoga Sutras. An overview of the art of sequencing. Asana
postures study including modifications.

Immersion Level Three: Gratitude is Attitude: Rockin' the House. October 13-17

Deeper understanding of philosophy. Learn to apply the revolutionary Anusara alignment principals for pre-natal, elderly and injured students. In-depth study of The Bhagavad Gita. Continued study of the Anusara level I & II Syllabi.

Prerequisites:
30 hours of Anusara Yoga

• Includes yoga classes, workshops and retreats with a
certified or inspired Anusara Yoga¨ teacher.

• Completion of the previous Level Immersion required to enroll in successive levels.

About Chad:
Chad Satlow, Anusaraª Certified Yoga Instructor, RYT 500

Chad is internationally recognized as one of the most advanced and proficient practitioners of Anusaraª Yoga.
In Chad's classes he interweaves great stories, humor, myths, yoga asana, pranayama, and meditation to help his students remember their playful spirit, innate beauty, and power. Since 2002, Chad has been studying closely with John Friend, founder of Anusara Yoga. Prior to that Chad studied in India with Pattahbi Jois, founder of the Ashtanga-Vinyasa tradition and 3 years of study with Ana Forrest.

In 2000, Chad founded Barrington Yogawerks, one of the most respected and successful yoga centers
in the in the United States. Chad has taught internationally and has been a frequent presenter at yoga conferences.

Chad continues to study with his life-long teacher John Friend, and the world's foremost scholars of Hindu Tantra, Professor Douglas Brooks, and Dr. Paul Muller Ortega.

 

To become an Anusara-trained teacher, a 108-hr Immersion is the pre-requisite for acceptance into any Anusara teacher training nationwide.

About the teacher

Chad Satlow, Owner and Anusara Certified Yoga Instructor, RYT 500
Since 2002, Chad has been studying closely with John Friend, founder of Anusara Yoga. Priorto that Chad studied with Pattahbi Jois in the Ashtanga-Vinyasa tradition. Chad is a teacher's teacher. Chad's students consistently soar to new levels.

Chad's specialty is in yoga therapeutics. He specializes in back and neck injuries. He works with a wide variety of clients ages 5-88 including doctors and professional athletes. Chad has taught internationally and has been a frequent presenter in yoga conferences. Chad uses open-heartedness, sense of humor and enthusiasm to help his students tap into their spiritual essence.
