Sarah Paxson, Teacher at Yogawerks, RYT 200 I first came to yoga in 2004. After playing soccer and basketball since I could walk I needed a physical practice to connect with. I immediately found that connection on the mat. I also found a peace and stillness inside myself that I never had access to before. I had found a way to just sit and be. Yoga has given me permission to be ok with me wherever I may be at in the moment, in other words an I learned how to accept myself. After not knowing self-acceptance for many years I realized how valuable this gift is and it is only one of the many gifts of yoga! In 2008 I completed my teacher training with Blue Sun Yoga and have been teaching since. I am inspired to learn as much as I can about yoga and to continue to share my experiences with my students. I am passionate about Acroyoga and Anusara yoga and continue to further my education in both areas. My favorite pose changes all the time but I am particularly fond of the energizing, uplifting, and open qualities of back bending. |
