Part one:
3-Part 108 Hour Anusara Immersion
We invite and welcome all dedicated Anusara yogis and prospective Anusara teachers to our 2008 Immersion program.
It is an opportunity for the serious student to pursue an in-depth exploration of Anusara Yoga¨ without the pressure to teach. The 108 hour three-part Anusara Yoga¨ Immersion takes you on a journey into the study of Anusara Yoga (Asana, Philosophy, Pranayama, Meditation). You will meet friends who share in the desire to live from the heart. Develop lifelong friendships and explore and participate in the Anusara kula (community). The Immersion is perfect for those wishing to delve into the mysteries and profound practices of yoga. The Immersion teaches us how to imbibe the practice as a path to conscious living, have the experience of our truest self, and journey to the core of Anusara Yoga.
Immersion Schedule:
All Classes meet once a month, Saturday and Sunday: 10am-1pm, (1-2 lunch break), and 2-5 pm
Immersion Level One: Intention and Studentship:
Stepping Into the Flow of Grace.
36 credit hours
Establish a solid foundation in the principals of Anusara Yoga, and make a deep connection to its rich philosophy.
• Universal Principals of Alignment
• Study and practice of asana fundamentals
• Tantric Philosophy & the history of yoga
• Focal points, loops and spirals

Immersion Level Two: Empowerment and Community:
The Heart of Anusara Yoga.
36 credit hours
Deeper understanding of philosophy and
energy in the body and studies into yogic texts.
• Elementary overview of the 36 tattvas and the five elements
• Overview of Kundalini, prana, chakras, and the energy body
• Overview of the Yoga Sutras, including
classical vs. tantric view
• Studies into the breath, pranayama and meditation
• Overview of the art of sequencing
• Asana postures study including modifications

Immersion Level Three: Gratitude is Attitude:
Rockin' the House. 36 credit hours
Deeper understanding of philosophy. Learn to apply the revolutionary Anusara alignment principals for pre-natal, elderly and injured students.
• In-depth study of The Bhagavad Gita
• Continued study of the Anusara level I & II Syllabi
• Yoga for pregnant, elderly or injured
students

Part Two: Anusara Teacher Training
In this 93-hour training, learn the skills required to becoming an Anusara Yoga instructor. Learn how to create inspiring themes, practice verbal and physical adjustments, develop language skills, effectively demonstrate and the art of sequencing the class.
Teacher Training Schedule:
Classes will be in Three 5-day segments -
31 hours each segment
Wednesday-Saturday: 10am-1pm, (1-2 lunch break), 2-5pm,
Sunday 10am-1pm, 2-6pm
January 21-25, 2009
February 25-March 1, 2009
March 18-22, 2009

Fees:
(fees are separate for the immersion and the teacher training)
Part one Immersion fees:
$1675 (if pre-paid in full by March 1, save $100 and pay $1575)
Downpayment: $475 due with application
Balance of $1275 due by April 12, 2008
OR - You can choose to attend individual immersions, and pay separately $650 each. Payment for each immersion due 1 week before start up date of each immersion.
Part two Teacher Training fees:
Fee $1875 (if pre-paid in full by January 1, 2009, save $100 and pay $1775)
Downpayment: $475 due with application, balance of $1400 due by January 21, 2009
Part One Immersion Prerequisites:
30 hours of Anusara Yoga
• Includes yoga classes, workshops and retreats with a certified or inspired Anusara Yoga¨ teacher.
• Completion of the previous Level Immersion required to enroll in successive levels.
Part Two Teacher Training Prerequisites:
To become an Anusara-trained teacher, a 108-hr Immersion is the pre-requisite for acceptance into any Anusara teacher training nationwide. Because Level 1 Teacher Trainings will now only accept those who have taken 108 hrs of Immersion, this ensures that when it is time do teacher training, the teacher trainer will know every applicant, and teaching methodology will be learned alongside other knowledgeable, mature and
sophisticated practicioners.

About the teachers
Chad Satlow, Owner and Anusara Certified Yoga Instructor, RYT 500
Since 2002, Chad has been studying closely with John Friend, founder of Anusara Yoga. Prior to that Chad studied with Pattahbi Jois in the Ashtanga-Vinyasa tradition. Chad is a teacher's teacher. Chad's students consistently soar to new levels.
Chad's specialty is in yoga therapeutics. He specializes in back and neck injuries. He works with a wide variety of clients ages 5-88 including doctors and professional athletes. Chad has taught internationally and has been a frequent presenter in yoga conferences. Chad uses open-heartedness, sense of humor and enthusiasm to help his students tap into their spiritual essence.
Kathy Simonik, Teacher, Anusara Inspired Yoga Instructor, RYT 200
Kathy has been teaching for Yogawerks 3-1/2 years, and has been a student of Chad's for over 5 years. Trained by Chad, she also studies with Anusara founder, John Friend. She has completed John's Level 1 and 2 Teacher Training, 3 Yoga Therapeutic Trainings, Anusara Master Immersion as well as over 1000 hours in Anusara studies. Kathy's teaching style is nurturing and blends her knowledge in therapeutics with a fun, inspiring and uplifting class.
